CALABRIA. Tarentum. Campano-Tarentine series, circa 281-272 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 19 mm, 7.09 g, 9 h). Head of the nymph Satyra to left, wearing tainia, triple pendant earring, and pearl necklace. Rev. TAP Nude youth on horseback to right, crowning horse with wreath in right hand; below, dolphin to right above tripod. HN Italy 1098. SNG ANS 1295. Vlasto 1025-7. Darkly toned. A few minor scratches, otherwise, nearly very fine.
